Lets not get carried away here. Changes are very subtle since Bmw has no reason to mess with what is already selling the best in this segment.

Any film/movie folks know what all the black film is for? I assume to cut down on reflections but not sure what the specific application is for here? Just curious...

Want to see it with the m sport package. I think extra hp is added only to the 550 in order to compete with similar cars like Audi S6/S7.

Did the kidney grille got smaller or is it my impression? I'm not a fan of these new smaller kinda squashed kidney grilles that BMW is sporting in F30.

does not look as elegant but still better than going with the F30 style.

The lower grille lacks styling cohesion. The foglights have defined black surrounds rather than the more simplistic glass cover that integrated them before, clunky, the chrome detailing draws curves back around to the middle of the side grilles a bit arbitrarily, too dainty.
No doubt it'll look better in the metal, not zoomed in and compared side by side to the familiar existing model, but I'm really not loving the latest styling trend, mercedes in particular, of over-styling every part of the car. |

Well most of current f10 owners will say the LCI is looks worse than current...but the front fascia is not the only item that will be refreshed. Steering will be improved, rear, N63TU for the v8, turn signals on side mirrors..list goes on. But we all know deep inside, we all want the updated version. If I was in market for the bmw v8, i would wait till the LCI.

Will be interesting to see what the M-Sport looks like; always my favorite trim on every model. My favorite thing about the LCI will be the 6WB instrument panel! |

After 10mins staring at it, I don't see it at all. When I would have been head of design, I would have fired every single one of the amateurs in my department.
The bumper is a mess with planes and lines leading to nowhere, look at the bumper underneath the licence plate... the fog lights are stolen form a Korean truck, the chrome boomerang element is representing ... what actually?? The black void between the chrome horizontal beams is still not resolved... and that was the only obvious problem the F10 had. It's again a confirmation for the direction BMW design is heading for: nowhere at all. The fugly 1-series, 5GT, X6 and 3GT where no isolated incidents I guess. There is a pattern evolving and I don't like it. |

So just give it a little bit of time until current F10 owners start shelling out for retrofits for LCI headlights, LCI bumpers, LCI mirrors, and the works.
Of all things, I like how the middle part of the front isn't as droopy and is now more sharp and upright. The fog lights seem like they'd be much better in a wide, rectangular housing that fits inside that chrome brightwork, similar to the ones on the new 6 series. I wonder what the LCI M-sport bumper will look like?
