I am in Michigan as well and I chose xDrive for the winter. I also am an odd one because I wheel spin drama. When I mat the pedal, I want the car to haul booty.
Agreed though, that's hard to find those specifications in M sport. |

From experience all season tires and x drive is ok but stopping and go will be a problem. You are better off RWD with set of winter tires. Less rotational problems with RWD if things go wrong or even basic maintenance if changing fluids.
