Yeah, screw that. How many inches of snow did you get?

They are calling for either rain or snow here Thursday morning. Please be rain. Over it all!

We got 28 inches, the most of all the 5 boroughs of NYC. It's a shit show. My street was plowed once. The local streets are practically impassable.

Everyone be careful shoveling out there, as what fell here is heavy, wet, heart attack snow.....
We only had about 2" of accumulation over the lat 24 hours. We woke up to about 16 degrees and now some welcome sunshine

We call it heart attack snow also, although ours this time was the dry light stuff. My wife worries when I'm shoveling snow ( I'm 69yo) and makes sure I have my cell phone and checks on my whereabouts every 10 minutes or so.

I've been using one of these. It attaches to the upper section of my weed whacker tool. Worked like a charm on the 7-8" of snow we got last round. Beats shoveling any day. The hardest part is working with the wind so the snow doesn't blow back in your face.

Actually been considering one of those electric snow shovels that looks very similar to the attachhment you referenced.

Have a typical 21" snow blower that I use for the heavier snows, certainly understand working with the wind so the snow doesn't blow back in your face.

Tomorrow is an expected 16C with sunshine and after a trip to the dump with the garage clearout garbage we're heading for a long forest walk.

Well, the plow came. It’s a garbage truck with plow on the front. It got stuck in the snow in front of my house for 1/2 hour.

No. Trash collection cancelled this week so they could do snow removal. Funny part is, if the truck was full of garbage it probably wouldn’t have gotten stuck. Rear wheel drive with no weight on rear. Driver didn’t swing his right turn wide enough and his rear axles went over a snow bank and spun away. I had my heart in my mouth. Asshole supervisor was standing in front of the truck/plow while telling the driver which way to turn his steering wheel. Tires with chains spinning away while in drive. I swore I would have to call 911 when the tires caught and ran over the supervisor

I only had 8 inches during Sun/Mon my gal who has a house out by Worcester had 18 and south shore MA had 38" in some areas. Mine was wet snow as temps were just below freezing had they been like the last one they said it would have been equal to the 20 inches we got.

That being said there is a model of another dozy coming next week!!! yeah more snow where to I pile it. My tractor has said skip you I am not a goat and I don't climb snow mounds.

NYC's snow-removal fleet is mostly their city-owned garbage trucks fitted with plows. When they have to plow snow, the garbage doesn't get picked up.

Our paltry 7" of snow from the "Blizzard" of 2026 has already melted down to about 3". The good thing about late-winter snow is that the sun is high enough in the sky to melt it quickly within a few days.....

It missed a lot of this side of the lakes as well. I know someone near Syracuse/Utica that didn't get one flake from the coastal blizzard.

We got another heavy dusting of the white crap here overnight.....
