For 2012, MB ditched their King Kong V8 (with THAT AMG exhaust note) for a smaller 5.5 V8 turbocharged (sans exhaust note) to fool the gas guzzler police. They even added start-stop.
Don't they even rate runner up prize? |

Typical Mercedes, always playing catch up with the competition. The E63 AMG has a price tag well north of $100K, it should really be compare to the M5 or the RS6.

I was in the 550xi vs S6 dilemma. My as-configured/negotiated prices were close enough to not be a factor in my decision. I chose the BMW because I couldn't come to like the exterior looks of the Audi - was very bland IMO. I also didn't want a black (or white) interior and that was another hard pill to swallow.
