Any updates with guys running this tune? I've recently seen quite a few members post they had check engine lights with the later builds f10s.
Btw when I contacted Vishnu there was no plans to work on the f10 535. Cobb also hasn't started on the n55 either for the F10 but they already have a n20 that they are working on! I just flashed my 335 back to stock from Cobb S1+ and boy is my car slow now. I can't imagine what the 535 without a tune is going to feel like Alan

I threw codes but all it ended up being as a blow-off valve actuator warning. Nothing was actually malfunctioning but rather more air was being released from the charge pipe than the computer was expecting (duh) and thus a light popped up. Use an obdii scanner to turn off the light. No big deal.

Wouldn't the light keep coming on if that's the case? It's always going to be venting more air with a tune...
Wasn't there some work around from terry to not use one of the sensors? Alan

That was thought to be a work around but I proved it wasn't when I dyno'd the car. It was still at stock. The CEL is just a warning light, its not that an actual malfunction happens. Thats why it tends to disappear after a day or two on its own accord. I am used to these CEL's granted I also own a volkswagen

So basically the CEL just turns on and off randomly with the JB3 installed? Thats pretty annoying. How much did your car dyno at with it installed? Terry need to figure this out if he wants to advertise this to work on the F10. having a CEL on all the time in a new 70K car isn't acceptable.
It really sucks how long its taking to get a legitimate tune on this car. So much potential just waiting to be unlocked... Alan

This is the best Terry can deal with. If a light comes on big deal, why would that bother you so much, even if its a 170k $ car. He advertises up to 50 hp and 60 tq, and thats pretty close to what my car was pushing. I got what I paid for and I'm happy, especially now that I have a portable obdii reader to turn the light off if I so wish.

I'm pass that point in my life that its ok to drive around with a check engine light on. Certainly not going to tolerate it in a brand new luxury car. I didn't have to deal with it in my modified E90 and certainly not going to with my next car. I don't believe Terry advertise that his tune will give you a CEL so I wouldn't be expected to deal with it if i purchased it. If he did then thats a different story...

Yes buddy, I did. I finally installed it a couple of days ago but haven't driven her yet. Tomorrow morning will be my chance.
I decided on the stage 1 for now after that recent post about why the stage 2 is draining the battery (one connect has a constant power draw). |
