Wow, I'm so excited by this!!!
Can't wait to see results! On a side note, am I reading the graph right where stock the car runs much leaner than the tuned car? For an FI car 14:1 a/f ratio seems pretty lean. The Evo tunes I've seen including mine were more like 11:1 at ~350WHP on a mustang dyno. Maybe direct injection affords more room for error. |

Arch called me and all I heard was yelling saying "insane" then hung up on me. So I'm guessing he likes the tune.
I still haven't driven my car yet.. Haven't had time to pick it up from Gintani. I'm lame. |

ALL: I would like to start of by saying that Gintani is the shit! The customer service from Alex and his team were amazing! I would call 4X a day and they would pick up and answer all questions lol. I was the annoying dude that would overthink and over analyze and call to ask.
I would like to say for the Record I am not knocking JB because their tunes for the money are Great!!.. Im just saying this is So much Better!! Overall! 2014 550Xi- (Full catless exhaust + K&N Filters) GIntani Stage 1 Tune with Speed limiter Removed: (N63TU)-550XI Official review: 1- The cold start is smooth (no bouncing revs) 2- The car idols Perfectly! soo smooth! 3- Local driving is amazing. Huge improvement of BMS JB tune. The car drives like factory but on steroids. Very smooth and effortless. No random over revving or under revving on hills or local driving. 5- The car is an Absolute Animal! It pulls like a freight train all the way to redline. The HP/Torque can be felt on your body all the way to redline. The power does not die like in the JB it gets stronger! I would shift at 5.3K with the JB because anything after was just noise and NO POWER. The Gintani tune is POWER ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP! and the shifts are BRUTAL! even after 100mph+ it feels like a 40mph pull! 6-I had my Vbox Connected to my car to document some runs and here they are in comparison to JB tune. JB: 0-60 (3.7-3.8) 40-100 (6.3-6.6) 60-130 (10.3-10.8) I would average about 10.5. GINTANI: 0-60 (3.6) Consistently 10X in a row!. With better tires I can do 3.4 40-100 (5.2-5.7) I was trying different shifting methods. shifting after 6K provides best results. 60-130 (9.9) I was only able to do One pull and it was UPHILL HIGHWAY! ahaha Easily Mid to high 9s I could not believe how much better the car drives and the POWER!! its a never ending ride on a freight train! A real tune that is Safe and provides Power and enhanced drivability .. This is it!! FOR THE RECORD: This is is Honest review. I paid for the tune and did not receive any special treatment or anything. I just wanted a faster car. I currently hold the 1/4 Record and am looking to go even faster! |

Here is my thought:
1. Gintani Flash will be great for upgraded turbos on N63 TU.... 2. The install is not for everyone if doing your self... JB4 for N63 TU is easier. 3. Would be amazing for N63 guys because no need to do the stupid wires inside DME like JB4. 4. Price point should be a few hundred $ lower. 5. Biggest Plus is there is no more limiter 6. Lets see what happens at 1/4 car is fast but is it faster than 11.7.. MAYBE

I'm not sure if you ever drove his car before tune. If black approves, then its solid. Can't wait to get my car back now.

Arch seems to have really liked and felt the difference.
I was just curious if you had drivin it so you can share your opinion. But racing is always fun! Did you take it easy on him?

Boo... no n63 support yet... I guess the BMS Stage 1 will wet my appetite for now... I hate digging around inside of the ecu...
Awesome video, 1st day out with the tune. Lets see how everything goes longevity wise. Haven't even installed my BMS Stage 1 yet but it will go in after the n63 Customer Care Package as I am going in on Monday. Should take a week or so... |
