Since you have a manual, I think your 4th gear is equivalent to my 6th gear in the 8sp auto trans. Can you do a log in 3rd gear? It will probably be more like my 4-5th gear. My WGDC in 6th gear is around 60-65% @ 5k RPM making 22 psi.

This log covers from about 55mph to about 140 mph. I would say it shows about everything it is gonna show. I only say that because regardless of what gear I am in, the ram air intake's advantage is a function of speed. As speed increases, ram air intake will help WGDC. So that is basically all there is to it. I don't think what gear I am in will change that. The slower I go the less impact it makes, the faster I go the more impact there is. I hope this helps.

Here is a 3rd gear log to redline. This log shows about 485 whp. I'm on e30 but running a pump gas map. Boost is turned down in 3rd to keep my HPFP happy.

Anytime you make any changes to how you feed the motor air, you are going to need to adjust fuel accordingly. You'll need a tune for this or the MST intake but it is well worth it. David Shoup is familiar with this intake from a tuning perspective. |

within a "normal" range. When you get into the higher RPMs that's when you got to watch it. I have noticed I periodically get some minor adjustments on a random cylinder on lower RPMs, not always 6. It's something to watch. |

Here is another log where you can see two 4th gear pulls and barely any timing corrections, each pull has blips on different cylinders (none on 6) but they clear up in higher RPMS... I think the DME is just doing what it's supposed to do and I don't really need to worry about anything... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not sure how you extended the MAF wiring, but I MIGHT have found adapters that work.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/254655726572?var=554416090828 They sell both the male and female end, you just gotta crimp your own wires or buy the pig tail version, but tbh I don't really trust their wiring and would rather spec my own GXL wires. The housings came in today and I will be test fitting them later.

It all depends on what you are going for. MST probably looks better under the hood, not gonna argue there, but mine is all the way to the inlet and is proven to make more boost. Plus it is louder since the filter is literally outside :-). Sorry for my bias opinion lol

Funnily enough, the male part of the adapter is actually an OEM BMW part. Just verified their adapters work
