M5 is the only answer for you combat!!
You guys are asking a luxury car to perform like a track car. I don't blame you! But really, the M5 IS the answer. Just my opinion.
If the M5 came with xdrive, I would have ordered it
Or... You could do what I did... Get a 'toy' for the track. It's amazing what you can do with a 3100lb car with a 427 mill.

Im being dead honest, I dont plan to track. Im just not happy with the car, I wish I would of done more research on it before I bought it, I figured 445hp with twin turbos = lots of potential.

Clearly I was way wrong. NO real aftermarket. My car has been in the shop for almost the entirety of me having it trying to get some shit out there for our group... But Its just not worth it.

BMS did a great job with what they are doing. But losing power after 5k like that just hurts my head.

BMW clearly doesnt want the 550i to be raced.

I may sound like I wanna race car, but I dont. I just want to mod my car and see whats suppose to happen happen, improvement. And I dont feel like the car is capable of it, and Im done sending it from shop to shop trying to find answers.

I hear you bud... But the fact of the matter is the 550 is a LUXURY sedan with sporty attributes. I wouldn't expect the platform to be well suited for mods that eek every last shred of power out of it. BMW created it to be NOT as performance oriented as the M5. Part of that means it won't respond to mods as well. Just my opinion.

Just dump it and get the M5. I wish I could but this is my daily and here in the northeast I got to have AWD.

You guys in Cali have great 'car weather'! Jealous.

+1. The 550 is in the same class as the E550 unfortunately and not the same class as the S6 or even the new Maserati Ghibli. Go drive either of those, they're more performance oriented from an overall experience perspective. The crazy thing is about the 550 is the tuning potential of a full ecu flash but it's just not looking good and hasn't been. Heck, Cobb hasn't even cracked the F series N55 which is a massive market. Mercedes has Renntech and others, Audi had APR and others but we only have piggybacks and Dinan.

Combat - try contacting renntech if you don't mind mailing your ecu's to Florida...they might be able to help. Or just sell/give away your car and get an M5. It's infinitely better in every aspect and is an absurd missile.

I have a friend with an RS7 and one with a CLS63 AMG S. I wouldn't get either.

The panamera turbo is leaps an bounds a better car. It feels like a 4 door sports car even with all the weight. The RS7 and CLS feel like rocketship luxury cars with bigger breaks and beefier suspension but still don't inspire confidence like the Porsche does or new M5 AWD hopefully will.

Does BMS stage 1 and or 2 provide more boost and power at partial throttle or only WOT?

Stage 1 does... Stage 2 used to but now it's made to make power only after car goes in to boost.

Cannot justify $80-100k more for a car that is slower. A friend of mine has a 2012 turbo S and handles amazing, but the 550i with stage 2 will likely beat it.

Badblack550xi I just received the update on my S2 and I knew something wasn't right... Was waiting to put some more miles on before contacting Terry. But S2 is just not as responsive as it was prior to the update.. So that must be it,only making more boost under boost..pretty bummed..was digging the power before!

just double tap the paddle to bring the boost up.. after that it will be instant it holds it there for a few seconds.
