Yea before* but you had bad Injectors and bad fuel pump and bad transfer case and a few other things you went under the Recall at BMW. All that was fixed a few weeks ago. Your stage 2JB your trapped 118 just like me with my stage 1JB for my TU.
I'm telling you the difference from Gintani and JB is day and night. The car feels like a different car! The shifts are more brutal. It feels like a DCT lol its just like Bam, Bam, Bam! Snoth as hell with a jolt! Last edited by ARC550; 03-14-2015 at 09:00 AM.. |

Nice to hear and see that legit tunes still work and are worth the cash.
I hope to be getting a Eurocharged setup within a few months since this one isn't available for the N63. The description of "Drives like stock, just better" is exactly what I'm going for as well. Nice job and enjoy!

Can you give me some pointers or take pictures on the next one? Do you need to vent the cooling system after re-install? Thank you. |

I have catless downpipes filters and JB before and I always left it on the car. Every service I would tip the guy and he will take care of you. Bro when its time to return car you just return it and they will reflash to stock . simple! |

Sure its a hassle but you want gains you have to do what you have to do.. or just drive car stock forever and have a warranty.

Obviously the tune is awesome and lays down some incredible #'s. But I imagine it comes at some reliability expense. Flames shooting out of exhaust = running rich, excess fuel not burning in combustion chamber, spitting fuel through exhaust. more fuel burning = higher temps = more wear and tear. If your motor melts down there is no way BMW wont find out ECU was reflashed |

Even if you had just the piggy back jb tune they can see numbers that don't add up and ultimately will(my opinion) show there was tuning done.
When I had an E55 tuned and upgraded pulleys, the SA refused to help a worn out supercharger clutch stating it was due to excessive modding of car past stock parameters and parts directly in relation to failed part. I had an after market warranty as well but they would have to file claim and me pay the deductible...didn't matter. Wouldn't warranty it. Same car got a battery declined for warranty because apparently my v1-radar showed it could be causing an open circuit...AMG batteries are almost $500. Went through two of them. I am worried about the n63 in service since I don't have a relationship with a tech and thinking it would be easier to decline a warranty item if they have signs of any tampering. |

To each there own w/warranty.
I dont beat up my car, but I do mod it. Just so when I do drive it, or want to go fast it does what I want. I refuse to drive the car the entire duration of warranty stock. Just for piece of mind. I rather be happy driving the car w/the upgrades. And have been doing so basically my entire life.

As far as warranty was mentioned… Like stated, if anything goes wrong just return to stock and take it in and hope for the best. Also depends on your dealer too. I work for infiniti service and we had a guy come in the a g37s with a blown motor. Car has intakes… They could've easily made up some lie that the intakes caused it, but were currently putting a new motor in it |

The difference is DAY/NIGHT! The car just drives healthier ! Don't get me wrong JB is the best for get up and go fast but Gintani is on a diffrnt level. Gintani I did research and tests. Proven! P.s I did 0-60 today conistantly in 3.5 Sec and 0-100 in 8 sec flat!! Lol check my YouTube page. |
