No worries bro. It happened and just let it be.
Just do some body work and repaint. I did it for my trunk lid. Upsetting but just have to swallow it.

Sorry to hear this. I hate to admit it, but you're always getting hit with the F10. I wonder what's your accident rate with your other cars before?
About the wheels, it's really too much trouble now. And I'm pretty sure you will like the 2nd set better. Just wait a little bit longer. |

Checked with the workers first thing this morning at the A Shop. The c fu there were admant that wheels will still not fit by just removing the layer of paints and insist on enlarging the centre bore and use a hub ring instead.
I am moving the PSS and wheels to wk for a 2nd opinion. Getting real close to be more trouble than worthwhile for me.

i think you should sell it....cheap
but seriously...that sucks and at least physically you are safe. It isn't great to have any accident, but if there had to be...we want it minimal with no personal injury. more for our curiousity, has advan or wk told you about whether they can solve the CB centering stuff? |

So they will sand off the paint for me today and see. But if it still doesn't fit, I can pretty confidently declare that the wheels are defective.

So A Shop sanded off the paint layer of the center bore and we took measurement.
Turns out the center bore width with the aluminum showing is about 72.2mm, not the 72.6mm that Forged1 claimed that the wheel is manufactured to. A Shop did try to fit it on another customer's F10 and confirmed that it will not fit. They are going to slightly enlarge the center bore for me to 72.7m so that it will fit. At this point, i don't care. Told A Shop to go ahead. After all, I do have another set of wheels coming in Sep. I think Forged1 really messed things up for me. And their reason for delay of the wheels is to make sure everything is perfect for me. They missed that mark by 100 miles

not to sound stupid..but given how many wheels they make for F10s, shouldnt they have like a sample center bore hub to just place it on and test before shipping. THis is really, as RC3 said, QA/QC

That's why it's more safe to buy from premium rim companies.

That dude is quite unreasonable. Main road drivers always have right of way. Just let the insurance company take care of it man.

F10s really have bad luck lately. All other bros, watch out. But traffic really is insane lately. Summer holiday begins, the football matches, weekend drivers....

Rc3: haha you sure take this very personally
but for a 5K US product...it is a bit disappointing. Realistically, when i think about it, if you are paying this kinda price for rims..it isn't the very highest end but it is up there..so the quality should match the pricing. The more I think about it, the more i do realize it is a very novice mistake. There should be a methodical checklist of things to go thru before sending off to customer. |

Another thing about getting stuffs from overseas is when they screwed up, there is nothing much you can do. Like dyip's rims, it took forever for him to get delivered. This time is mlai. Getting stuffs from local vendors may spend a few more bucks. But there are less risks. Anything wrong you just don't pay for it. Or even complain at the consumer council.

ahaha..consumer council is toothless shark it is there for decoration to so HK gov/tourism can talk about how an organization exists to protect the consumers, but eveyrone in HK knows that consumer council's most powerful tactic is to try to mediate but no obligation on any store's part to ever listen
