I believe it is.... I read somewhere of an earlier departure but it's going straight to Cali and it's not due in until the 2nd of August. I believe the Liberty might be carrying the first batch to Halifax due in on July 28.
I lost my ability to track my ship now. It's now in the open waters of the Atlantic. Did you guys have any luck tracking your ship in open waters? |

When you find your ship click on show on map. An empty map with no ship icon will appear but you L/L will be included in the website URL. You can then figure the position of the ship with the L/L on the empty map. No great but it gives you an idea. |

hate to sound like a broken record but your SA will be able to provide you with the most accurate information going forward. the 800 number at BMWNA along with the website were telling me my car was at the port on the 11th and it actually loaded up on the 9th so both those systems can be 2-3 days behind. My SA told me on the 10th that it loaded the previous day

I've been patient waiting on the ship transporting my vehicle. Last position yesterday before loosing signal somewhere in the North Atlantic south west of Ireland. This morning I get an update and a surprise. According to marine tracker, the liberty is anchored off the coast of Qatar in the Persian Gulf. I'm freaking out just a bit as I'm thinking it's just a glitch. Anyone know what could be happening? Is this even u-turn possible in a 36 hour span?

Looks like my 550i will hit the Charleston port on 07/26. I've opted for PCD. However my screen shot from SA shows that I have the Monroney/EPA hold on the vehicle. Anybody taking delivery at the performance center around the middle of August?

According to marinetraffic.com it's still anchored in the Persian Gulf off the coast of Qatar.

see my post #158 above
Also it was in Fawley UK less than three days ago, Qatar is 5,000+ miles away by sea. I am not sure there is a marine cargo vessel that can cover 5,000 miles in 72 hours that an average 60+ knots.... |

Anyone elses ship out todayish? Checked yesterday and it will still waiting at port. Today however they updated it to "En Route". I wonder what ship it is on.
They take roughly 3 weeks or so to reach the East Coast right? I live anout 100 miles south of the Baltimore port. |

I'm right there with you. My 550i is on the same ship (California Highway) and I'm doing the PCD as well. I received a screenshot from my SA today showing my is on Monroney/EPA hold too. I can't find any info regarding how long the EPA test might take so it's a be question mark at this point.

No clue due to the EPA approval. I've heard the approvals can take anywhere from a week to 45 days (45 days came from my SA). I had an idea for how long it would take to produce, get to the port, get on the carrier, get to the US on the carrier, and even about how long between arrival at port until BMW calls me for pickup. But, the EPA timeline is a complete mystery. I don't even think we can track progress through the approval and that's going to drive us control freaks crazy!! Hopefully I'm wrong and someone in the forum can give us a better idea.

you car likely won't be offloaded in baltimore as the only VDCs in the eastern US are Jersey and Brunswick.. If you are in the southeast it will be brunswick if NE then NJ

Since my car was presumably offloaded in Brunswick yesterday, I called the BMWNA hotline for an update, but it had reverted to "Your car is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. There is no tracking information available at this time." This freaked me out a bit, so I talked to a representative who said that my car was, in fact, at the VDC, and that they expected it to be released on 7/31 and at my dealer on 8/3. I don't know if this means the EPA hold has been lifted, but hopefully it's promising.
