Thank you gspannu,
Everything you programmed are all working. Last time the map couldn't update, later on I realised that I extracted the files in the wrong folder arrangements. After re-try, it did take on the new map, and on the following engine restart, it asked for the code. Originally the code didn't work, but after another engine restart, it accepts the same code without a problem. New question: I know the concept of "automatic" gear box, is that we don't need to think about which gear it is currently in. Just for curiosity, is there a way to display the current gear which is in? Is there a programmable-function (appeared in other brand / models as a "snow mode") that I can force the gear to take off from higher gear (2nd, 3rd, or even 4th)? Just in case if we ever see any real snow again... |

In "D" the car starts of in second anyway.
I've had a cursory look to see if the gear display can be had on in "D" as well as the sports / manual modes but I can't see anything.

No there isn't. There should be: it would be easy to do and a useful option.
It is code-able though.

However, what we are still missing is the code to always start in Sport mode, that's the holy grail at the moment !

Hi Gspannu,
I'm new on here, just bought a 2011 f10 520d m sport, just wanted to get some info on some retrofits. Also want to get some coding done, could meet up somewhere if that's ok. |

Gspannu,
I don't know anything about all this coding stuff. But am I correct in presuming that the f13 has the same system as the f10 and there for all the wonderful things I have read about being coded into people F10s is possible in my f13. I also have some additional hardware Iam hoping someone has the knowledge to code to my vehicle. Such as m6 seats with oscillating function and a multi functional instrument panel. Help someone. Iam more then happy to pay a reasonable fee for the work I just need someone to do it. Fingers crossed someone here can help or put me in touch with someone who can. Iam in Essex but Iam willing to travel where ever I need to!! |

I do not do retrofit coding; so am unable to assist you - you will need to find someone who does retrofits. I only do coding for features already existing in cars; and do not charge anything for the same. Apologies; but unable to assist you in this.

Gspannu,
Thanks for the prompt reply. That's great news about the platforms. I would be very keen to catch up on your next meet. I will keep my eyes peeled for a date and Venue. Can you perhaps recommend someone who does retrofits? I just don't want someone who thinks they know what they are doing messing my whole car up! I find it's always better to go with recommended people especially when dealing with my Baby!! Thanks again. |

Quick Update:
During our coding session; some of you will remember the issue of Extended Bluetooth not working on cars with latest software builds. I think I may have the solution, now need a car to test it out. Any of the original persons who came to the coding meet? One of you willing to come up for 30 minutes or so?
