Why are buying a "weaker" battery? Like I said before, there's a reason the 105Ah battery was installed in your car. You run the risk of overtaxing the alternator. BMW's are electron hogs as it is with all the electronics. Would you buy a computer with a weaker processor? Cars are not much more than rolling computers these days; much like a smartphone is more a portable computer than a phone.

Also, the new battery will not fix a parasitic drain issue that it seems like he's having (like others have pointed out on the 3-4 rekindled old threads he's posted on this same topic) |

If/When your "Increased Battery Discharge while Stopped" messages appear again you'll know where to return to for troubleshooting advice. When that happens I'd highly recommend creating a new thread instead of asking the same question on 4 older threads. It will help others to help you. |

I have 2013 550 and it came with factory installed H8. There was a CSB on the N63 back in 2014/15 including timing chain, valve stem, and specifically asked the dealer to upgrade to H9 105 AH due to battery draining issue. I believe this is also part of the class action lawsuit result.
