Unhappy Anyone here with N55 had rod bearing issues?

I bought a 2010 BMW 535i M sport 2 months ago with 80k km (49k miles) and I was very happy with it. But now I have a little tapping sound revving around 1.5k to 2k rpms when the motor is cold (not really noticeable). I heard about some early N55 owners having rod bearing issues resulting in complete engine failures and I’m suspecting that I will be the next one

I am wondering if many of you had rod bearings failures in your N55 and @ how many kms?
Is this as common as S85 S65 S63 engine that are found in M cars?
My car is completely stock and I only drive hard when the motor reach 100 degrees Celsius (past the 1/4 needle), I do oil change every 5000 km.
Thanks and your help is appreciated

When cold they do produce a bit of a tapping sound, but not too loud.

My 2010 had metal flakes in the oil at 137k km's without having the notorious rattling you get when things go bad, so I had the bearings changed right away. It turned out to be just in time, they were on their way out. Got compliments for the block being as clean on the inside as it was. I do oil changes every 8k km's (Liqui Moly and Ceratec additive). But this clearly won't prevent them bearings from wearing out. I had planned this (preventative) maintenance at +/- 150k km but that would have been too late for this engine.

For peace of mind I'd swap them out. The costs of that are far less than an engine swap.

I wish I had done mine as maintenance when my oil pan gasket was being replaced
