performance grille

Hi All,

Im thinking about having a black performance grill fitted to my 535d M Sport, the car colour is sophisto grey, what do you guys think?.
I know the grill looks stunning on white f10 but im just a bit unsure on a darker colour. If anybody has any pics of there f10 with the performance grill it would be great to see them.
Thanks guys.

Guaranteed to look like crap after a few months. Don't be cheap. Buy the BMW OEM black grills from the dealer. Around $150 for the set.

Don't paint it, just get the BMW performance grill.

You could have bought mine, I have a space grey msport and it looked crap! So removed. As lukeswarm said it's about contrast. On a sophisto grey car will look even worse believe me.

Agreed; I bought a pair for my Le Mans Blue E92 and didn't like the effect.
My F10 is white, but I won't bother changing the grilles. I think the black ones look a tad cheap, whereas the standard M Sport versions look pretty classy - the chrome appears to have a subtle gunmetal grey finish.

I agree. I'm planning on installing it on my white car because the chrome grill looks out of place with the M Sport package installed. I'm convinced it would not look good on a dark car, especially the Sophisto Grey. My advice: don't do it, you will just have to remove it and sell it.

I just sold my performance grills. I have a sophisto m sport and didn't even bother to install them. Instead of the grill with silver slats that comes on the 550, I ordered the grill with black slats from a 535. Too much silver up front was throwing off the look.

Having 'slagged' off the black grilles in a previous answer, today I caught sight of a white E92 with them fitted and I have to admit it looked pretty good.
My 535d is white and I'm beginning to have a rethink - would you mind posting some pictures when you've fitted yours?
Thanks.
