N63Intake Oil Cooler value Help

i got this valve from N63intake a few months ago and was trying to install it. But can't seem to push it all the way down like the stock one. am i suppose to install it like it is and assume it will go down to the right position?

the first picture is the stock one while the second one is from n63intake.

dont push it all the way in, install it the way it fits.
