2015 535ix Mod Help
Daily driver with ~64k miles. It’s a 2015 bmw 535ix. Currently installed is a K&N intake and an Eisenmann performance quad race exhaust.
I want a CPO M550 (yes the V8...), but a Kbb trade in value of my car at $19k is insulting. Figure I would mod and enjoy it a few more years. Bootmod 535 Flash tune + Free Enet Cable + All Maps VRSF F Chassis 535 Race Intercooler VRSF F10 535 Charge Pipe VRSF F10 535 Downpipe Catless 4" All of the above completely necessary? Expected hp gains? Catless versus catted Downpipe? It is my daily driver. |

If your 2015 EWG than its worth it. Basically from what I heard you can get Pure Stage 1 type of power out of it with those mods. I would also get the o2 spacer than you can pass emissions.

Just keep in mind that you might have to enable catalytic converter check. I dont know how that works in bootmod3. I have MHD and by default catalytic converter check was disabled so I failed my emissions, but than once I enabled that I was able to pass without any issues.

I don't know how bootmod3 compares to MHP, and what gains are for bootmod3. MHP publishes their numbers for F10 N55 at https://mhdtuning.com/mhd-flasher-f-series-n55/ so with MHP you could get with upgraded intercooler, chargepipe and high flow downpipe 430HP and 480 lb ft of torque
You may want to consider high flow downpipe with "race" cats instead of catless downpipe MHP would be around $450 which includes monitoring module ($200 less than bootmod3). If you want to save more money, you can consider G-Plus intercooler which seems to be replica of Wagener intercooler but in $250 range and it has received very good reviews, see https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1585080 |

looking at around 420hp when its all said and done. Your turbo is holding you back as well as custome tune. Add sprint booster , inlet and , xdi hpfp , and xhp transmission flash if your serious about making power

Go for the G-Plus intercooler or Wagner + MHD (or maybe the JB4/MHD stack) + xHP tune.

you have same car as mine, 14 hours without carbon cleaning seems very excessive. I have chargepipe already installed and I am interested doing other mods like you, I am going to ask my shop tomorrow how many hours all 3 would take to install

Flash tune is good but the sprint booster eliminated all the throttle lag for me!! Tuned with the sprint booster .

What brand chargepipe did you go with? I was looking at switching my VRSF to Evolution Racewerks.

Chargepipe about 1hr Downpipe about 2hrs Intercooler 2-2.5hrs depending on the fitment and if any trimming is needed Worst case 5.5 hrs total and even if you round it up to 6 hours, it looks like that a person you went to, wanted to do your work and then take a paid day off for a total of 14hrs :-) |

Found a local tuning shop that happens to be an Evolution Racewerks dealer. Quoted me $380 to install everything. Just took finding someone that knows what they're doing and wants repeat business! I’ll post numbers in the coming weeks once everything is put together.
Last edited by Mmoon024; 07-05-2019 at 11:21 AM.. Reason: $380 not $480. |
