BMW 374mm x 36mm Euro “High Speed” Front Brake Upgrade for F10 535i or 550i

From a 2010 F02 760li VIN WBAKB0C56ACY40145

I bought these intending to put them on my 550i but then stumbled on a screaming deal for a set of 380mm stoptech brakes and got that instead. I just put two hours into cleaning the crud off the outside of these with my buddies media blast cabinet so they are mostly ready to paint. I believe this is bolt in upgrade from the US version 348mm x 30mm rotors used for 535i or 348 x 36mm rotors for 550i F10. I think you will need at least 19" wheels for these. Do your research.

This thread has good info on this upgrade. Post #117 lists the parts (also shown below).
https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthr...1488894&page=6

Now $325 shipped for calipers & BMW OEM brake pads (~50lbs shipping from 92127) or picked up in North San Diego county area.

Price Includes:
Caliper housing left + carrier 34116786827
Caliper housing right + carrier 34116786828

Front Brake Pads, BMW OEM 34116794464
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/34116794464/

Calipers have been cleaned up and media blasted. 98% ready for paint (or not; your choice). Plus another ~$280 in parts can put together a bolt in big brake upgrade for your F10 535 or 550 for roughly $750 all in.

You will need to buy rotors:

I can ship these by USPS large flat rate box. Each caliper with pads will fit into a box so it would be $40 for a pair of boxes and 2-3 day priority shipping anywhere in the US.

free bump,

I can confirm that these are definitely straight up bolt on for all F10s.

Who ever buys these can get either the brembo or pagid 2-piece discs (Rock Auto has great price on these) or the Zimmerman single piece discs to match these up with.

I got a great deal on a new stoptech BBK right after I bought these and installed that on my car. The BBK with 380mm rotors definitely improved the braking power so I would expect this to be similar with 374mm rotors. The F10 is a big car and certainly benefits from bigger brakes and sways.

Sure: https://www.buybrakes.com

Looks like they still have some sets for F10 starting about $1800. I will say the stoptech pads are dirty as hell, maybe worse than bmw stock pads, but that should allow the rotors to last a long time. (I will be getting black wheels once my RFT wear out to help hide the dust.)

Are these the same 750 374mm brakes one can retrofit into f10?

As stated these came off a 760li and are bolt on to an F10. I dont know if they are the same as the 750 calipers. Part numbers are provided and you can do a where used on realoem.com if interested.

750 uses the same calipers (according to its part numbers) as a 550, last time I checked

Yes caliper is the same, but different caliper carriers (bolts to car) to allow usage of larger 374x36 rotors and larger pads. These include both calipers (if you have a 535) and carriers (if you have a 550 and will use your stock calipers). Just buying new carriers for a 550i are ~$300 each which is why I had bought these to clean up and paint. And the larger BMW pads are not cheap... my selling price is the same. If you only want the carriers I can probably fit both in one box with the pads and save you $20 in shipping costs.

If you have a 535, you need a different carrier right?

For 535 you need both larger carrier and the larger calipers. (And larger rotors/pads). 550 only requires the carrier I believe (caliper is same part number). (And rotors/pads)

Lots of info on the swap in the brake thread I posted above.

All these cars come standard with 374x36 brakes in the USA

They have large caliper and carriers. so where did you get the "high speed" "euro" part?

Yes, that is the same CALIPER on those models. It is the caliper CARRIER that bolts to the car and the LARGER 374X36 rotors that are not available in the USA on F10, but is on European models, hence EURO HIGH SPEED BRAKES which is what BMW calls it. Suggest you read the brake thread from my first post. All of it. Then look up ALL of the part numbers and you should understand.

Do a search for the CARRIER PN 34116786829 and then click on the link for 5' F10 LCI and you will see it is only on EUR models.

Yeah, you definitely need to read up on the other brake thread and look up the "High Speed Brake System" offered on FXX models in Europe. In US, only the 760 and Alpinas came with 374x36 rotors and bigger calipers that he has for sale here.. The brake pads are huge too and you can really tell the difference in braking performance with these on.

I did read the thread linked above, the poster also mentions other vehicles come with that set up.

You have a point in that your part number appears in europan f10 models only.

If I look up a 750 caliper in the usa the part number is different. But the drawing shows the same part. and the price is the same $211.51

The user in this thread confirmed 750 brakes are 374 x36 the same size as what you are listing.

https://bmw.s.p.o.o.l.s.t.r.e.e.t.co...-upgrade.4949/

Edit: Actually part number 34116786829 is the same for 750 usa and f10 550 euro
