Starter gone wrong (HELP)

So my starter went bad and I replaced it myself being the inpatient person I am ended up doing it myself since a shop was booked.Long story short car turns back on but now I have cylinder/injection misfires 3 & 4 and my car runs choppy.. first thing that came to mind is that I didn't put everything back the way it was. So I take it to a shop to have them see what I did wrong and I did in fact put things on wrong and they fixed wiring and such that wasn't connected correct and now my car is still having the same issues giving these codes and wanting to charge me $500 just to diagnose the issue..

Any legitimate professional shop is going to charge more to figure out what you screwed up, sorry that is just how it is. It's one thing to work through common issues and expected circumstances, quite another to figure out what someone before you stumbled on.

If a prospective client has a car they have worked on (and failed) OR its coming from another shop that couldn't figure it out it ONLY comes into the shop where I work on a $500-1000 retainer of pre-approved time. Lets us know you're as serious about fixing the car as we are, and guarantees the tech adequate time to locate and repair the issue. 90% o the time the retainer is no where near consumed and the client is only billed the fair time needed. 10% of the time its far worse than could be imagined and a drop in the bucket compared to what its going to take to undo the damage.

Did the starter myself. Just throwing it out there. There is a fuel line really close to it. You didn't damage it right? Is hpfp sensor close by? Check fuel line pressure on MHD.

How about all the cable connections to the DME. And the intake manifold. Everything went back well?

There is just so much effort to get down there that you can't rush anything. Gotta be patient.
