I can't seem to find definite proof but many filters say they fit e70 and also 550i ,750 etc . Also many x5 guys use the x5m filter on their n63 and n63tu motors so following that logic would the x5m air filter work for a 550i ?

X5M has a pretty substantially different airbox design from the F10. X5 people can use the X5M filter likely because they share an airbox design.

You'd have better luck with high performance air filters like the one from K&N.

Ah, sorry assumed you were talking about the new X5M's

No worries . I think could be good alternative Cause alot of people have issues with the arm and other intakes as far as codes. Supposedly 15 percent more flow and then charcoal filter delete is even more. I guess I'm the crash dummy on this one.
Only other question Is I read somewhere that only eldor coils fit the tu engine and I am doing dp stage 2 mission dme and trans tune and 97506 plugs on Friday so I am wondering if I should change coils and if yes which ones to use.
