Ive been going back and forth myself on whether or not to debadged my 535. I think once I get my spoiler painted, I'll debadge the car to keep the rear "clean"
Agreed! Keep us posted!

I kept my 535 badge, but got the gloss black badge. It's pretty low-key on my dark gray.

Mind if I ask where you got yours from? I came across some online, but they seem to be ABS plastic.

eBay. It's not metal if that's what you're looking for.

Since the F10 N55 has a displacement of 2,979 cc (3.0l), then I might be inclined to rebadge to "530i" from a "535i", which would be "proper" and "unique."...hmm.

I think the "5" indicates that the 3.0 is turbocharged.

I've been considering re-badging my 535d with the chunkier letters found on the M edition cars. I love the blocky letters vs the dainty standard ones.

If I do I'm considering de-rating it to the globally correct model; 530d. They only call it a 535d in North America for branding purposes, which is kinda stupid if you ask me.

If I de-badge anything it'll be the XDrive emblem… that's no bragging right in Canada where 99% of BMWs are AWD, lol. Not far off how cars used to say "Fuel Injection".

Mine has fuel injection and it has a "d" after the model number. 😉

From the hyperlink I provided in my previous post (e.g. BMW's website):

"The last part of the model name includes a lowercase letter that stands for the drive technology. Gasoline-powered cars (injection vehicles) bear an i, and diesel engines have a d. An e in the model name means that it is a plug-in hybrid, as is the case with our BMW 745e PHEV (➜ Read more: All types of EVs). All-wheel drive vehicles have xDrive attached to their name. sDrive stands for front-wheel or rear-wheel drive, but is only referred to in the X and Z models."

I was merely quoting BMW's liteture...so almost all cars outside of pure electric are "injected"....including yours..

Maybe you could rebadge from "535d" to "535di"....

M-Sport 530 diesel XDrive with high pressure common rail direct injection and variable geometry turbocharger

M530dXhpcrdivgT

Not sure if that would fit between the BMW badge and the right tail light… might have to go for a smaller font, lol
