NO why are you guys paying so much for these installs omg
Find a reputable shop and it should be in the 2-300 range for springs tops. And alignment is between 75-150.

yeah seriously I can't stand f'ing shops charging an extra premium just because it is a 5 series. I watched my mechanic do springs on my 535xi and its no different than installing it on a Honda accord.

I paid about $700 I think including alignment afterwards. Most guys are right...most independents can do it for cheaper than BMW dealers/techs from what I've seen. Search around and you'll find someone to meet your price.

Why do you need a BMW shop? Its just nuts and bolts like any other car.

I thought BMW had a uniqueness about their stuff. Having to remove speakers and stuff to get to the springs. Don't want someone taking it apart to figure it out.

Its just the plastic speaker cover, it just pops off. Youre not removing speakers.
Its the R&D and engineering that goes into the vehicle which is the "uniqueness". The way you physically change "bolt on" components is no different than any other car. Any mechanic can do such things. Matter of fact, if inclined and properly equipped, you can do it yourself. Like i do! lol

Pm me if you're still looking for an installer. I know a shop in north hollywood with a very knowledgeable mechanic. I'm having work done on my car tomorrow.
I cant quote exact price but it's a lot less than $700, maybe close to half of that. |

Thank you guys for the price bench marks. Trying to find a guy closer to home, I'm in Camarillo. I'd pay a little more for convenience of not having to drive, or stay there all day, but not twice as much. I'll call around to a few local regular mechanic instead of BMW specialists.

There are tons of local SoCal reputable shops (most vendors on here) that will install those springs for you for far less than $700. Camarillo isn't that far of a drive to these places if you think about it in the bigger sense of things: you spending more money, and the time you're already taking to find a closer shop

I paid 140 to get my coils installed last weekend, cause it was too hot to do it myself. :lazy:
FYI i said earlier you dont need to remove the rear speakers, but you do, its very simple though just 3 torx screws, you dont even disconnect wires.
