When I was in Vietnam, a career Staff Sergeant at our little infantry camp got crabs. The joke quickly spread among the troops on how get rid of crabs:

1. Shave the left side of the scrotum.
2. Set the right side of the scrotum on fire.
3. When the crabs run to the left side, stab them with an ice pick.

I was assisting a physician during a routine vasectomy. After shaving the area, I applied betadine on both sides of the scrotum. The patient, who was making sexual remarks thinking he was funny, inquired as to why both sides. I told him that the needle often goes right through both testicles and we don't want to risk infection. He suddenly became very quiet. The doctor had to leave the room.

I've never quite understood why some guys freak out over getting a vasectomy. I had it done shortly after our 2nd child arrived and it was no big deal. Wore a special jock for a few days and that was that. Maybe my attitude has something to do with having been in the Army; everything since then seems like a piece of cake.

Not me but my old boss decided that he felt great after his vasectomy and went for a run. Turns out he felt fine because he was still froze from the procedure. He missed a few days work and when he turned up he said his boys had swollen up to the size of softballs and turned black. Apparently he had to stand up with his feet spread for two days.
