n63 muffler delete
So i refuse to spend the tremendous amounts of money people want for n63 aftermarket mufflers.
Really want to cut the mufflers and weld in quads along with installing this diffuser http://www.ebay.com/itm/F10-4PIPE-52...945e65&vxp=mtr Just wanted to know if anyone has any drone at any speed and if so what would you rate it on a 1-10 scale . Thanks .

If you remove mufflers it actually sounds OK.
The problem is it does not sound refined.. You will get a bit of drown. I know because I have experienced every short cut when it comes down to this car. P.S If you want LOUD remove the Resonators cats and Mufflers. Your cold start will move clouds!!! |

I dunno about the resonators now lol , Just need to hear this car a little bit . Its more quiet than a 328. how bad is the drone at 75-85 mph , Can you have a normal conversation with a passenger or will we have a raise our voices lol ?

My advice is Keep mufflers (Open the butterfly valves with zip Tie) and convert the resonators into X Pipe and you will have the perfect sound. |

If thats the case i might just go with my cousins m5 mufflers. AutoCouture can cut the mufflers off my 550 and clamp on the m5 mufflers without welding which is a big plus for me. the only bitch is going to be retrofitting the m5 diffuser due to the excessive plastic cutting needed for the diffuser adapter.

Was your diffuser OEM or aftermarket . Its hard to resist the ebay diffusers which seem to be decent quality.

Your driving a expensive car, do it some justice and get it done the right way.
Cutting of exhausts is something Honda did during fast in furious days. When you picked up your car and made a thread about it, I posted an exhaust option for under 2k, Thats full length not just axles back.

Spending $2k on an aftermarket exhaust and worrying about warranty being voided due to the cats being altered is something iam taking into consideration but does not seem viable at the moment. its not the money i care about, its about paying a premium only to lose my warranty ... And yes the car is expensive my bank account can tell you that.

Badblack can tell you that, they voided his w/catted downpipes. A full length system wont connect to your OEM downpipes. So you will be good to go w/warranty. Call Shetigen and tell them your a f10 forum member maybe they will give you a discount. Worth it man, I promise you..

im sure they can add a flange to the Shetigen exhaust to bolt on or slip on to the stock down pipes with out modifying them.

I've got muffler delete. Sounds badass.. Perfect amount of rumble.. No drone at 75 mph. Personally I like very loud, so downpipes and res delete for me later
