19" vs 20" wheels?
Hi everyone,
Been making a few posts about wheels recently but I had another question... would 19" wheels give me a better ride on my car? I have 20"s on there right now with 245/35/ZR20 tires and I swear I feel every bump in the fkn road. I really want a smooth ride where my back doesn't hurt after a long drive ... so if I sold my 20"s and bought 19s and get some tires with better sidewall would that be better? |

I'm considering the PS4S for my next tire, even though they cost a small fortune. |

Love the PS4S. Loads of grip, good performance in wet conditions and not that much noise. |

Run flat tires are a definite no no with 20" wheels? I am planning to get a set of 20" as well but unsure if the ride will be harsh even with non RFT. But I know for certain RFT will be harsh even on a 16" wheel. When I switched my wheels on my F30 to 19" I thought I would be having a harsh ride but surprisingly its softer and more comfortable than the original run flats. I am comfortable switching to 19" on my F10 but that's only an inch bigger than the original set. So 20" would make more sense for me to upgrade to.

it looks like my F10 comes with 19" wheels and the previous owner installed 20"inch . since am planning to go for non run flat firestone indy 500 it raised my question. will my 20" inch wheel damage my steering components and put a huge stress on steering pump ? or is it fine for a powerful vechicle like F10 to handle 20' wheels easily ? cause am feeling a little heavy in steering.

Should not cause any issue to your steering rack. But you will need to be more careful running over potholes. 20" and 19" will certainly have a higher risk of getting bent due to thin tire profile. Not to mention those impact force will cause some damage to your suspension system. Otherwise if you are careful, I wouldn't worry.

M8 wheels, style 811. They're 5x112, so wouldn't fit the f10.
