Got beef? 315/30 r888r

Hello guys, I’m planning to fit 305/35/20 or even 315/30/20 r888 on the back of my 550i for a better traction & wonder if anyone has done that before on regular 5 series
Thinking of 20x11 with et40
Here’s how it sits right now on original forged M5 343 M (20x10 et36) wheels stock suspension & 285 PSS, perfect fitting no rubbing but luck of traction
Edit: just went and order 315/30/20 R888R Toyo’s

305/35-20 won't fit with ET40.

That tire is 7% taller than OEM rear 20" size (275/30-20).

295/35-20 (6% taller) will fit with 10" wide wheels and ET40, not sure about 11" though.

305/30-20 (3% taller) might be another choice.

so here's what i did...if your wheels today with the 285 fits fine...then go check the specs on your new tires you wanna get and measure...tire rack has all the specs.

so for example, the 285 in hankook vs 295 in mich pss was vastly different in terms of width (as the pss seems to run a bit wider than most)...

Nope, looks like no one done 12" on the back period not even 11.5" with beefier tires

Got my r888r Toyo’s 315/30/20 (there’s maybe 2-3mil between shock tower & tire, its 13 1/8” wide side to side, offset must be on the spot) can’t wait to get my custom BC Forged wheels 20x9.5 & 20x11.5

I'm putting down 700+whp on a 305/30R20 Michelin P4S without issue. 1st spins a little, 2nd on up is 100% usable.

Yes, Michelin tends to run one size bigger vs all other brands therefore 305 Michelin would be wide as 315 other brand plus on 550i rear sub frame & suspension is different compared to M5 so offset is less aggressive.
