Brighter HIDs?

Hey guys I have a 2011 535xi Factory HID's however! I need more light well Want more light
so I decided to buy Amazon 55w HID's 5k, horrible mistake they turn on when they want too turn off when they want too ( I programmed them through ESYS and also had the canbus as well for anti flicker ) same for Fog lights one side works wonderful the other one worked whenever it pleased had to do a song and a dance in order to get it working;

Any recommendations with what HID brand should i go with , I got LEDS for the fog lights just to try them they are not bright at all but again these are Amazons LED, the HID 55w for the fog lights were wayy brighter. day and night difference.

Over the weekend I swapped to these. They seem much whiter and are brighter I think.

No flickering. BTW not sure if we are supposed to use 55w.

I also changed my HID's in my 2012 911 to 35W Marimoto 5500k. They oddly have a green hue to them.. Googled it, and lots of people mention the same thing.

I read the reviews of the ones you sent me so I ordered them 5k temp though, for 40 bucks is worth the try. unfortunately I couldn't 55w. but I messaged them see if is something they have if they do I'll switch them out.

I love being able to have to have super bright headlights.

I run Morimoto 35W 5000k D1S bulbs and love them. Perfect color to match the LED halos and much brighter than my dimmed original bulbs. For the price you cannot beat them.

Do yours have a slight green hue to it?

no, mine look fine. Pure white. Blueish-white when they first turn on but then warm up into pure white with no hint of color. The cutoff has a slight blue line, that's about it. Certainly no green in my case

How long have you had them? Longevity seems to be an issue in the latest reviews.

I just replaced them in the fall so around 3 months maybe?

I had them on my old A6 for over 3 years with no issue. Were still as bright as when I got them and broke them in.

Hi, new here and also in the same situation with wanting to upgrade , replace my old worn out stock headlights. I just recently bought the car and the headlights don't seem as bright as I would expect them to be. Car is 2015 F10 535i X-Drive, and also the headlight beam doesn't seem to project out all that far either. I was looking at possibly getting the Phillips White Visiton Gen2 5k bulbs, but any other help would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend you go on youtube and look at HID bulb comparison videos by TheRetrofitSource. They do a great job at comparing options (including phillips)

as long as you have xenon housings and you buy the correct xenon bulb type, yes, it's PnP
