2012'F10 change to G30'17 19.9" OEM 664M wheels - will they rub?

Looking for input on a wheel swap I am about to do.

I just ordered custom hub-centric spacers for my 2012 F10. The spacers were custom to fit the bolt pattern & smaller 66.6 bore-size of the '17 5/G30 (Style 664M). New wheels are 19x9. My plan is to go with same wheel size all-around (no stagger). spacer will only be 17mm (not including the new hub/lip.

I've seen plenty of folks talking about going 15mm even 20mm on both front/rear, but I want to double/triple check for my setup...

New (to me) 5/G30 wheels:

will they rub???

I'm not sure how your spacers work, but you should note that the bolt pattern for the G30 (5 x 112mm) wheels is also different than the F10 (5 x 120mm). If your spacers use the same bolt holes as your F10 hubs, they will not fit the G30 wheel bolt holes. Vice versa, if the spacers fit the G30 wheel bolt holes, then they will not line up with your F10 hubs. I'm assuming you are using only one set of bolts per wheel.

cdmulders, lsturbointeg . Sure guys, fair question

I have machine shop Motorsport-tech making me custom hub-centric spacers that have different bolt patterns running east-west...

Wheel facing pattern G30 (5 x 112mm)
Car/hub facing pattern F10 (5 x 120mm)

their primary business is spacers. They claim they have made plenty of these for hub size adjustments...
http://www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_adapters.html

I was off on the width...The spacers will be 17mm & trying to determine if the G30 19x9s will rub with a 17mm spacer. & if they will, may switch to the G30 front wheels @ 19x8.5...

Custom spacers - cool! Regarding rubbing, 17mm spacers for the front wheels seem too high, but it certainly depends on the offset of the G30 wheels you are proposing.

I attempted a 15mm spacer on my front wheels with a 18" x 8" winter wheel with 41mm offset, and a 245mm wide tire (245 / 50 / 18), as an experiment. Why is a longer story. Anyway, the front wheels rubbed on the fender when I turned a corner, but my car is lowered and those tires were oversized at 50 profile vice 45, which means the tires were taller than stock). I ended up dumping those tires / wheels and getting a more normal 18" x 8.5" wheel with 32mm offset, and 245 / 45 / 18 tires.

If your G30 wheel (19" x 9") has an offset of around 40mm or less, then I'd be concerned for the front wheels. Whether your wheel is 9" or 8.5" wide, if the offset is the same, you'll likely have the same problem because it's the tire that rubs and offset is calculated from the centre plane of the wheel.

Cheers.

cdmulders - great to hear your experiences at 15mm!! How much did you lower the car?

The offsets on the wheels I'm using are going to be the rear oem wheels off a '17.G30 at ET44mm (oem rear tire all-around) or I may go conservative & use the oem front tire from the '17G30 at ET30mm....

Not meaning to send you bad vibes on your prior experiment but, hoping your rubbing was due to lowering your ride....After hearing your story, I am sticking w 19's. In my experiment, I won't be lowering & sticking w 19x8's...Will post pics & update on how I end up good or bad...

Here are two pics to give you reference. The ACS springs I had installed lowered the front by about 1.4", and the rear by about 1.1".

19x9 ET44 with 17mm spacers, making the fitment ET27, will fit your f10.
My summers are 20x9 ET26 in the front, and I use 18mm spacers in the rear for the winters, same 19x9 ET44 size as yours.
