Noobie having issues updating CIC

Hey guys. I am new to the forums and new to BMW's in general. I am looking for a little help updating my CIC to the latest version. I went to the BMW update website and downloaded the file to my USB, however I can not locate the option to update software in the CIC system. I have watched multiple videos showing the update option from the Settings menu, however my system does not have this. Any ideas?

I have a 2011 535i with professional navigation and I have also located the Comm box in the trunk.

Also, can direct me where I can get a copy of Esys?

Thanks

Most likely you have seen how to correctly do it.
There will be problems if it is not in the right format, miss formatted drive, incompatible file type.
I will also tell you the odds of needing this is slim to none.
It is for an old Bluetooth issue, so unless you are having Bluetooth issues you do not need this.
Also an FYI, unlike other manufacturers there is no need to stay up on the latest software with BMW, their updates are really just bug fixes.
Unless you are having trouble, leave well enough alone, they have been known to cause as many issues as they fix.
As far as getting a copy of esys, it shouldn't be difficult to locate with a general search, either here or some of the other BMW forums. Look for their coding sub forums.
I would help more but I don't use it myself.
