Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and was wondering if I could get some buting advice, I want an f10 touring, 520d i think this engine is a good combo of performance and economy, obvs I am looking for good value for money as well as a good spec can you guys advise me on what spec to go for and what issues I should look out for, also if anyone has anything for sale, that fits the bill, I would be interested. There is loads of threads on here with the info you want, but I have had 530 and 520 both are great the 530 packs a decent punch but the 520 is really quite fast enough and is far more economical to run and insure.

Spec is entirely up to you... personally I would only buy a Msport trim Bmw, it gives you leather, tinted glass and the sporty look I prefer... Hk stereo is a must and pro nav really, as are heated seats. Oh and folding mirrors!!

Be mindful somethings you can just not add at a later stage as well whilst wheels and body parts can be upgraded.

For me, my 'must haves' changed whilst looking for my car.
Some have an Alcantara interior, I'd personally avoid that. I have the comfort seats in mine, and would make sure that it's replacement had them too (you get memory seats & mirrors with that too). Auto gearbox is a must, and I enjoy the panoramic roof. I have Variable Damping Control, but wouldn't miss it.
I think the nav & maps on my phone is better than my updated BMW maps, so I rarely use the inbuilt nav. Electric bootlid is lovely, so I'd recommend that too.
