Wheel spacers for 535ix

I need some help, I purchased a set of 12mm wheel spacers for my 2012 535ix msport. I want them installed in the rear, since I think the front looks just fine.Took the car to a shop this morning for install. The sales assistant asked me if BMW was ok with installing spacers on the rear only on an all wheel drive car.

For those of you that have spacers installed in the rear only, are your cars all wheel drive or rear wheel. Have toy encountered any issiues. Should i expect any problems if installed on rear only.

By the way, the SA called to tell me that the supplied bolts were not the correct size and that they would be unable to install at this time.

I don't have a definitive answer, so this may or may not be a helpful comment but...

It's my current understanding that you can, in fact, install a set of staggered size wheels on an X-Drive. So, if you can do staggered sizes, I'd sort of imagine it's safe to do wheel spacers on just the rear, too. The concern with x-drive would most likely be with different wheel diameters, not offset. Just my suspicion though, I don't claim to have any specific knowledge.

You could probably ask your dealer service dept about staggered wheels on the x-Drive and segue into a conversation about spacers... they might give you the straight dope.

it shouldnt do anything negative

its no different than running staggered rims and most companies use different offsets which is essentially the same thing

I bought 2 pairs of H&R spacers, 15mm for my rear wheels and 10mm for my front wheels.

I have a 535i and installed the spacers 2 days ago. There are no issues up until today. =]

Open the link, and see the pics. I posted already.
But I still didn't have a chance to get a shoot from the front. Kept on forgetting.
Probably will do tomorrow.
