How fitting, I just posted this question in another thread.

"Question regarding being modded and HPFP replacement. If someone was to go stage 1 or stage 2, does anyone know if BMW would void 10 year/120k miles HPFP repairs due to having a tune?

I understand the other repairs would not be covered, but curious about the fuel pump..."

I just replaced my High pressure fuel pump and the warranty i have was telling me that they didnt want to pay because it was a dealer recall but of course after they read me the details it didnt mention the state of NY for the recall they mention NJ, CT, CA and other states but NOT NY. So I had to pay just for labor.

Aside from the question weather tuned cars are disqualified from the HPFP recall, does anyone know if we can just go to an indy shop and have them replaced instead and request re-imbursement via the link below?

Maybe I have the wrong thread, but the HPFP (2 in the N63) also has a similar recall.

If you have n63 then it is true... For n55 they didn't do it though they did for n54 that had Continental hpfp which was also in my early model n55.

Yeah, I pulled a code and have multiple misfires. I replaced my coils, spark plugs in the last few months and have newer injectors. The error shows high pressure fuel 2 - pressure too low, which leads me to believe it's the HPFP.

But I don't want them to deny a claim because of a tune, when this is a known issue without a tune.

I picked up my f10 off lease .....now i have error code P4106 which is fuel line related.
Do you think BMW will cover the repair even though I am 2nd owner off lease vehicle?

If it's a recall or still under factory warranty they will cover it. I'm not sure if that fault you have is a recall though.
