alignment after new wheels & tires?
My friend told me one should always get an alignment after putting on new wheels/tires. Is this true?

You don't have to, but it's a good time to do it if you might think it's a bit off so you don't wear out your new tires.

I switch between summer wheels and winter wheels twice a year on all cars I've had but I never do wheel alignment because of it.
Make sure your tire shop to do the wheel balance correctly and that set of wheels should be fine until next time you change tires/rims.

Otherwise, I typically only realign after a suspension mod
