Today I assembled my ACC heated steering wheel. I bought another airbag for $100 so hopeful this airbag does not rattle like my original one.

Man awesome stuff! I've always wanted to retrofit ACC.

Also, definitely picking up that M-Sport bumper. And issues with the fitment?

The fitment was amazing for a $350 ebay bumper.

I just ordered more oil and I am going to do a oil analysis to make sure my rod bearings are fine. Everyone is scaring me about rod bearing failure. I can afford new rod bearings but not a new engine.

Ok, maybe I missed something, but I though the rod bearing issues were on the V8's.

Some owners are reporting failures under normal driving conditions. My gut feeling is that they were either under maintained or there were just a few duds. Many N55 cars are over 150k miles without failure. For $35 I am more interested on how well the PO took care of the engine. I am 1/2 debating on running a can of LM engine flush after I take a sample as well.

Today I installed the new ICM and looked into wiring everything up. I think I am going to use the cig outlet under the passenger footwell that no one uses and a place to power my heated steering wheel and ACC sensor.

Today I did an oil change and started tearing apart the car for the ACC install. My heated clock spring came today without the clock spring bit as well as my dealer parts. I found out the 7 series airbag is different from the f10 so I am going to return my $100 airbag when it comes in tomorrow. I found a sport airbag and wheel for pretty cheap on ebay that I might pick up. I have desided the best way to run the wires into the car will be along the driver's side. I am still not sure what I am doing for power. I need to make a HF run for a rivet gun and flared wrenches to remove the DSC pump later this week. Hopefully everything will be working by the end of this week.

Is the clock spring the HBA one? The HBA and non-HBA SZL boards are different and you can't just transfer stalks, I tried and it just acted as a second BC button.

The steering wheel/airbag you found on eBay is actually my listing lmao. Small world.

Today I got the DSC pump out and disaster. I have a post 03/12 pump and the connector is different. There is no way in hell I am going to find a pre 03/12 xDrive DSC ACC pump anytime soon so I think the project is dead for now.

Your inbox is full. But just so you're not alarmed, I canceled your bid on eBay since we're doing the transaction off of eBay.

Today I finished mounting the ACC sensor and made the engine bay wiring harness for the sensor. I sealed the hole I poked through the grommet with RTV. Finding another ABS pump was a no go and I installed the original ABS pump. The bleeding was a pain since my new brake bleeder leaked everywhere.

I got everything wired in today and took the car out on a test drive. My brakes feel kinda spongy but I am not sure. The car does stop but I feel like the engagement point is more towards the floor now. I used ISTA and a brake bleeder during my bleed.

A new HP eny laptop with 20gb ram and a ryzen 5. I fixed the brakes. I did a manually bleed and I got some air out of the lines. The brakes are now rock hard.

I got in the correct DXC pump from Belarus. I talked to my local dealer and they said they can install it for $600 which is a bit high. I am back in Central PA so my install options are limited.

Also anyone have any recommendation on OEM wheels? I don't like that everyone puts the same style m sport wheels on their F10. I kinda like the 373M.

imo the 343M's two tone look looks a lot nicer than the 373M, and the 343M's off of the M5 have on point fitment.

The 373m look real nice. I hope they are under $500 a wheel.

Last weekend I took advantage of cheap COVID hotels and drove to Pittsburgh with my girlfriend. It was a nice reminder of why I put some much effort in maintaining a out of warranty BMW. For not that much money I sat in my comfortable boat and blasted through the hills of Western Pennsylvania. I have not gotten an emissions check engine light since I left for University a month ago so I am declaring the car has fixed itself.

Anyway if you are within three hours from Pittsburgh I highly recommend taking a trip out for a weekend to check the place out. Everywhere I went it was super clean and nice. The only thing I didn't like is that most of the restaurants only served bar food and the few full restaurants were very hard to get a reservation.

I have yet to find time to take the car in to get the ACC DSC pump installed. I am also looking into doing auto high beams and the DEC switch next.

I finally got a set of wheels for $1400. The seller didn't clean them up well so I thought they were damaged but they are in like new condition. The only issue know if that I just found out the tires are summer tires which will not work in a month or so.

Before looking closely I thought you had hung the wheels on the wall!!
