did you remove the mirror covers when you wrapped it?

mragarg...should've taken some pictures of the problem areas and we could have given you some ideas. i know there's some stretching of vinyl in some areas to prevent the wrinkles. thought about wrapping my roof in carbon vinyl to see how hard it would be?

Well the hood looked good (from a distance) at the end but it was wrinkled and ripped at a few spots. The headache was this corner. Name: rsz_2img_5710.jpg

But then my dad and I figured it out and got this at the end Name: rsz_1img_5732-1.jpg

The roof was hell. The corner came out like crap because we had so much extra vinyl and didn't know how to get out the wrinkle. Name: rsz_img_5730.jpg

Yes, just pull them towards the front of the car. Might have to pry them up a little to get a grip. 4 clip inserts on cover and lots of guide clips on the edges. Carbon wrap them bad boys while its in storage for the winter.

OP were you using the heat gun and the heat stretch repeat method for the tough areas. Takes time but should have been able to get the hood, roof, main flat surfaces fairly easy. I would think the bumper corners and mirrors would be the more challenging parts. It's tough no doubt and even a pro install will tell you it will look flawless from 5ft but up close you will see imperfections.

I was but when we got to corners, there was so much vinyl from each direction that it was stupid.

mragarg... I see what you're saying! Those guys on the YouTube videos make it look easy! Gotta be some kind of technique to it...maybe you're not using enough of the heat gun or maybe too much stretching?

Do you pull from the outside edge(from the picture your watch strap side) or the inside edge? I'm guessing a plastic tool to pry them up a bit? I don't want to break them Lol!

Fair play for tackling a whole car, I was also thinking it cant be that difficult, then i guy i work with tried it and basically trashed the whole job up, i still thought though how hard can it be he must of done something wrong.

And then i wrapped my side repeaters tonight..... Hard work to say the least, admittedly it probably gets easier the more you do but the pro's defo make it look easy.

Did you ever finish your wrap, how did it turn out?

I didn't finish it. The hood and roof was hard and the rest of the car would've been harder I hate quitting
