2011 550i Ride Height

Hello...... Is it just me or the suspension on my 2011 550i is higher than normal? Is the 550 F10 typically higher than other models? Kindly advice. Thank you.

Looks perfectly normal.

Any problems with your suspension? What's the mileage?

I believe that the suspension from 528i to 550i was all the same, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok cool, thanks. No problems with the suspension, I was just wondering. Car is at 60k miles.

It looks like he has the staggered setup. I would guess they did an on rim rotation.

Oh really? How are you able to tell? I do have a staggered setup with wider tires in the back. I just had the from tires installed at Firestone about a week ago. Here are pics from the passenger's side. Thanks.

Looks higher than either of our 535i's (one base the other m-sport).

Look at the tread pattern. It looks like the tread pattern is facing the wrong way. Do you also have mis-matched tread patterns, front to rear??

Hmmmm, thanks.
I just looked at both front tires, and they are both marked "Outside" on the outer side of the tires. How else can they have mounted the tires if it is marked correctly? Thank you.

The front left is put on backwards. You can tell because the front right tire has grooves pointing backwards for train to move, whereas in the front left the tire is on backwards.

I would probably just replace all 4 with pilot sports in the near future since your tires are mismatched front to rear.

Hmm, OK i'll take it back to Firestone to take a look at it. Those are Bridgestone Turanza ER300 Runflats I just got last week. Will be looking to replace the rears with the same model pretty soon once I need them.

I think it's the shape of his driveway making the front of the car look higher.

Compared to my 535xi before I changed my springs, yours seems to ride a bit higher. Here is a picture of my stock ride height.

Tires are asymmetric designs and mounted correctly. There is no other way to mount them. They are not directional tires.

Lol i didn't mean to call you out! I just recently did mine and i noticed the rust on your calipers than i saw the decals lol! Since you're doing a brake job why not paint your calipers blue? I think it'll look sweet! I went with the G2 gold on all four calipers. I also painted the hub/shield satin black

hovering like Back to the Future!

and finally with my wheels back on!

Nice........ Hmmm, now you really have me thinking about painting the calipers. Personally I like the decals on the calipers. Thanks.

It's the right choice, you have a classy combo there and the logo just cheapens it

Although the logos do suit callipers that are painted in the M Sport blue...
