gonna use Adam's ceramic on my wheels and the rotor hats. hopefully this works wonders. tho i'm really not getting any brake dust on my wheels. so even with ceramic coating would i still need to use a wheel cleaner to wash my wheels?

For regular maintenance of my wheels (weekly / bi-weekly washes), I use/recommend:
  • Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect
  • Meguiar's Non Acid Tire & Wheel Cleaner (when Sonax runs out)

Regardless of wheel cleaner type, I always use an EZ Detail brush to get every piece of brake dust off of my wheels.

For deeply baked-in brake dust (family & friends cars), there is nothing better than Poorboy's World Spray & Rinse Wheel Cleaner. This is the true spray and rinse guaranteed to get your wheels spotless, but it is acidic, and your should minimize its use on your wheels. It's damn strong even when diluted.

What kind of pads do you have that you don't get brake dust? I get brake dust and mine squeak.

I've never believed in using a strong wheel cleaner. The stronger it is, the worse it probably is for the clear coat on your wheels. I just use an APC or soap even and it gets the job done for me 99.9% of the time.

Which is why I use Wheel Wax. Regular car wash soap cleans whatever dust the WW doesn't repel.

Sonax Full Effect has always been a great go-to wheel cleaner for heavily soiled wheels. The iron fallout remover in it is helpful to break up any caked on brake dust.

That looks like the same thing I tested in my vid, but then I found the other product that is less expensive. I'm sure they are all roughly the same iron fallout remover, so I'll go for cheaper!
