Great F10 Cabin Microfilter replacement DIY video
This video is very clear on changing the F10 cabin microfilters:
I got the genuine BMW filters on Amazon from Valley Auto World BMW for $85 (versus about $250 installed from my BMW dealer): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The video calls for disconnecting the battery, which I did to be safe from having an airbag go off on me. Took < 5 minutes then wait 10 min for electrical discharge. The filter process was maybe 1/2 hour only because it's hard to initially locate the screws because they're up in the footwell so you have to contort and use a flashlight or phone light. I didn't do the step of taking off the side trim panel, just took the screw out and then a tab from the cover assembly comes out from behind it.

Thanks for posting, just did mine over the weekend using a different video and can confirm those screws in the back are a PIA. I could barely even see the one back by the tube, had to put the screwdriver on by feel. I did not disconnect the battery, I think you're only in danger if you just let the airbag panel drop down hard or kink/snap the line. According to Newtis guide, if the filters don't have a tab, it gets installed with the arrow pointing towards the back seat. If the filters have tabs, they point towards the front of the car.
