BMW Warranty issue with changing to ACS springs

Has anyone had any issues with BMW trying to void the factory warranty because of changing the stock springs to ACS?

Hi, which dealer if u don't mind me asking?
I am also in Chicago area. In fact, I think I saw your car a few times in A&L bodyshop...
Mine is currently in the shop. Thinking about doing the spring after the body work.

The representative from the dealership I bought my car from said the warranty on the car is NOT affected by installing different springs. Response is time late but thought I'd share it nonetheless.

Your car's warranty doesn't get voided just because you replaced your springs. However, your struts and all other components failure that are directly linked to lowering your vehicle will not be covered.

If you're planning on selling/trading your car in the future, I recommend using coilovers. You can throw your stock struts/springs back when you don't want the car anymore, then sell your used set of coilovers. That's a lot less expensive than keep blowing a OEM struts after riding the ACS springs. OEM struts are not meant for lowered springs, no matter how clever Eibach, ACS, and H&R advertise it. Unless, you're running Sport Struts then you "should" be okay since they're made for Sport springs. Just don't cut corners on a BMW, it is, after all an expensive sport sedan.

Just my 2 cents.

Let's see if your dealer's response will be consistent once your struts are blown, and they discovered you're using aftermarket (non-Dinan) springs.
