Lol this is funny.. I back Serg 100% he is a stand up guy and always ready to help or answer ??? Even if you don’t buy shit from him.. I’m in SoCal and I wasn’t comfortable buying anything from anyone this far away.. I need to walk into a shop and deal with someone.. I picked up valve, thermostat and stage 2 tune that’s after 2 months of him answering every question I had after 12am est his time.. No One knows these cars better then him and I’m minutes from some of the top BMW tuners.. if that is not customer services I don’t know what is..

So I just paid a shop to install this valve and it doesn't fit. I have a 2012 bmw 550i which this is intended for. See attached pictures with factory valve and your valve. Who is going to pay for the lost shop time? Is the part defective?
this was my reply

that makes me a jerk and no one should deal with me ? you gotta be kidding me, do me a favor pack my valve back ill send you return label.
I have to apologize to the seller. At a time of extreme frustration, I misinterpreted your response and was not very understanding. My frustration was aimed at the wrong place and that's not ok.

I feel your pain of frustration, your car is essentially broke and I get you being somewhat impatient. It's good to see you apologize and make it right. Good luck with the car, and if you ever think about selling the cooler valve then I am interested.

Car was due for an oil change with all of the miles from the holidays so I put in the valve and it works exactly as advertised.

Again, Sincerely apologize for before to the seller.

OP states will lower engine oil temps to around 200f, my understanding was that engine oil temps needed to be at least 212 to vaporize moisture and burn off deposits in the oil. So lowering below that threshold would negatively impact the engine?

Is the thermostat needed as well to get the temperature below 200°F? If oil cooler valve does a good enough job of cooling the engine, then that is the route I'd rather go.

over the the years of having the cooler on my personal cars including my F90 M5 comp, i have not seen any issues. My F10 550i had the cooler installed at 50k miles, it is right now at 150k miles with the new owner.

Thermostat lowers coolant temps not oil temps, but lower engine temps will slightly make the oil run cooler also.
