No trick of the light. I didn't want a total black out so decided to add tyre.....decals I guess. Tyre writing seemed the common approach so went with what you can see. Pretty cheap route too. I think it was just over $10 including the glue.

I should have mentioned before, but I like it! A long, long time ago, I used to have white lettered tires on my '69 Cougar. Did I mention that it was a long time ago? Back then, I used some sort of tyre paint to keep the letters white. It did not last very long. So the decals / glue last a while?

I like the idea, but I think I went a bit over zealous with the execution. I dont have premium tyres so sticking 'Michelin' over the top of non Michelin isn't my thing. Plus lettering is the obvious way to go so I looked for something a little different. The glue issue is important. Used Gorilla super glue to begin, but that isn't great. Best stuff came from China along with the decals....as a pack. Dunno what those dudes use to put it together but it's the most serious glue yet.....really sticks your fingers together like they never want to be separated ever again They really know their glue.....and how to screw up the entire world

Have you tried Tredwear stickers? I've heard good things.

It's the AK style front lip. Usually can be had off of ebay

This front lip treatment is the cleanest I've seen. So much so that it's made me pull the trigger on the same lip. Do you have more pictures of this?? TIA
