Just changed out my rear brake pads on my 2015 528i, and now the parking brake won't work.
I reset the brake service light, but now the parking brake does nothing. I've tried pulling, pushing, and resetting it, but still nothing. I took the brakes back off to see if I did something wrong, but it looks right. I got error code 4809C but I can't find any info on what this code means. What did I do wrong? Thanks |

Did you disengage the parking brake maintenance mode?

Did you put the calipers into maintenance mode (like Unspec mentions) or did you disassemble the motor from the caliper and wind them in manually?
I did mine manually (before I had BimmerLink) and once finished I toggled the electronic parking brake switch and they set just fine. Is it possible you damaged the plugs or wire harness? |

Based on OP's other post, they forced it back with the motor attached. I've read instances where this can damage the motor, which is what might have happened.
