With a 3mm spacer will you stay hubcentric
I've been reading the threads on fitting 343 wheels on an LCI F10. I see folks using 3-5mm spacers to clear the brake calipers, and it would seem like the 5mm spacer combined with chamfering on the inside edge of the wheel runs the risk of not being hubcentric. Would the 3mm spacer leave enough hub to mount the wheels hubcentric? I don't see any hub extender available aftermarket, but I'm a new owner so if anyone knows of one let me know.

So the wheel will sit on what's left of the hub on the car. 10 mm spacers are the smallest with hub centric lip on them, but mine broke because the joint between the lip and the spacer is tiny with almost no metal. So I went with 12 mm after that.

That's the dilemma, I am really trying for a flush look, and knowing only a 10 mm or larger would have a lip on the spacer might cause me to poke out a bit. I haven't seen anyone put a 10mm on the front with 343's, wonder how that would look. If it didn't poke out much I'd be happy to do it.
A few on here have fit the 343's with 3mm or 5mm spacers. With the hub itself being 10 mm minus a flat 3mm spacer and 5mm of chamfering on the inside wheel leaves only 2mm of hub contacting the wheel. I don't want to run the risk of vibrations at high speed from not being hubcentric, so I am wondering if that setup would cause any vibrations. If so, I may have to pass up a good deal on the 343's which is hard to do and go aftermarket.

That's the issue with spacers is if they're not hub centric you could have vibrations... even if it's only 3mm. I've read across the board that some don't get the vibrations but seems like it's a hit or miss

I appreciate all the help,
I saw Turner motorsports sells hub extenders for situations like this, but not for our hub size. Since we don't have that option, it seems my options for the LCI F10 are: 1. Try the 3mm and see if it vibrates. 2. Try a 10mm hubcentric spacer and a 245/35/20 tire to see if it will rub or poke at all. I'm willing to mess around a bit because I found a really good deal on the wheels. If not I have some backup wheel options I haven't seen many folks running on the F10. I'll keep everyone posted as this situation progresses, lol!

I think you'll like the 10mm spacers as it won't poke as much as you think it will. Should sit very nice

That's exactly what I needed to hear to give it a try with the 10mm spacer. If it works I'll owe you a drink! I just joined the forum recently, but was a really active member in the Audi community the last 4 years or so. This was my first real question posed to this forum, and I really appreciate the helpful insightful comments. Thanks to both you and remmib

I am running 343's on my F10 and I think the 10mm spacer will give you too much poke. I guess it is worth a shot though. If I wasn't so short on time I would test fit mine with my 10mm spacers so you could see how it looks before buying.

It'll probably take a week to decide before I'm able to get back to town and check them out in person. Are you running any spacers now? I'm thinking if I do buy them to put a 245 tire on to give a little stretch and reduce the sidewall a bit, which might look a little better. If it looks excessive I'll have to pass

I think I have a set of 12.5mm spacers laying around (w/ bolts) if anyone's interested.
I personally wouldn't bother with a spacer <10mm. You'll catch hell trying to get the wheel to sit flush on the hub with a 3 or 5mm, trust me, I've tried. If the wheels poke too much with a 10mm, then you don't need spacers.

They do make a hub extender for the E series that I finally saw confirmation on this forum that it does fit our hubs and would allow a 3mm or 5mm spacer, but that's a last resort.

A fix that's a little more work is installing -0.5 degree upper control arms. This pulls the top of the tire inboard and gives about 5mm additional space, which gives you some breathing room for a thicker spacer.
Additional camber on the front also improves turn-in response and front end grip, balancing the car's natural understeer tendency. The downside is potential inner edge tire wear if you don't reduce your toe-in. |

For what it's worth I had 3mm spacers and never had issues. Eventually went with a 7.5mm spacer and hub extenders as I upgraded to the G series calipers.
