Retrofit help - 2016 Lci folding mirrors

Hi all

I have got a 2016 F10 which I am trying to install folding mirrors, I have got a set of folding mirrors and drivers door switch. I have seen a guide for pre-lci doing the soldering trick I was wondering if that same method shall work with the lci mirrors and shall the indicators still work ? Thanks for you help

Hello,

When i did my 2014 LCI the switch was slightly different and didn't have the same pins where they can be soldered together. Instead i soldered and crimped together the wires going to the same pins.

You need E-Sys to add the correct VO / code the car for the indicators, heated mirrors and auto-dipping to work

That really helps a lot thank you, when you coded the car did you only VO code or did you do any FSL coding aswell? Also did you change of the cables on the passenger side?

I with the mirrors i am installing i am also planning to do the surround view install long side that, which i am assuming has no impact on the install of the folding mirrors apart from running the HSD cables, thanks for your help

Sorry for the late response!

As far as I remember only VO coding needed, and no changes needed to wiring on the passenger side.
