Brake upgrade

Hi there!

I drive a 2015 535d M-Sport with DHP.

I think my brakes stink. The pedal is rather mushy and I don't feel that there is a lot of stopping power. Which on a car as big and fast as this one is less than ideal...

Is there any way to upgrade the feel and grip without splurging on a BKB?

Thanks!

some have gone with the M5 conversion. you'd have to order the caliper bracket tho from some guy who custom makes them out of Russia.

That's the only way? I'd rather not deal with that really sketchy individual. Plus the parts and labor would probably come to something like four grand.

Well yeah...it's not cheap! Everything's OEM except the bracket

Your current front rotors are 348x30mm. Get yourself the rotors, calipers, and caliper brackets from an F01 750i (which should bolt right on with no mods). That'll upgrade you to a 374x36mm front rotor, which equates to about a 10% increase in braking torque. The thicker rotor will also significantly reduce brake fade in repeated heavy braking situations.
