It would depend on a lot of things but I would say you cant run a 20x10.5 up front without modding the fenders or an m5 front end conversion. Im sure someone will say they are running an 11" in the rear and a 10.5 upfront with no mods and no rubbing which is usually bullshit and never verified with pics and they say they are doing it with ridiculously wrong et's. I would go with a 20x11 et +46 and a 20x9.5 et+31 which should fit flush without any fender mods. Remember most people who claim these wheel sizes often never post again or show any proof they dont rub. What wheels are you looking at and what is the offset range?

Niche does make a version of this wheel in a three-piece construction, with more concavity too.

I've seen an F11 in the (on bags I believe) with 20x10.5 ET20 in the front. Very stretched tires though, 245 or 255.

To get a 20x10.5 +35 to tuck you will need to run negative camber and a 285 and it will rub on a hard dip. For perfect fitment with no rubbing and no inner tire wear from negative camber the rear will need to be atleast a +40 and a 285. If someone tells you it wont rub and tucks with a 295 with a +35 on a 10.5 they dont have that setup or they are guessing. I've tried that setup and it rubs when it tucks.
Had similar issue. I put a 275/35/20 et: +35 Niche and had to do a bit of negative camber due to rubbing though I was wondering why it was only on the right side.[IMG][/IMG]

Im new to the whole buying wheels thing. I drive a 2015 528i xdrive. The ones im trying to get are staggered
Front: 20x8.5 +35
Rear: 20x10 +38
I dont know much about all of this, would these work or would it cause problem? i know the specs say something completely different.

That setup will fit on F10.

But you will probably like 10-12mm front spacers to match the much more aggressive rear wheels.

Do you plan to use 245/35-20 front and 285/30-20 rear tires?

I'm not really sure.. I'm still trying to figure out which offset will actually fit my car without it rubbing.. the specs only go up to 9 width and the offset is 44 so I'm not sure how to differentiate when it comes to 10

Changing offset from ET44 to ET38 means the wheel sits 6mm more out/more aggressive. This is with the same wheel width.
Going from an 9" to 10" wide wheel add half an inch on each side of the wheel from center. This means you add half an inch more aggressive fitment with the wider wheel, plus the 6mm from the offset change.
So half an inch is roughly 13mm + 6mm = 19mm more aggressive fitment with the new rear wheels.

Makes sense. One more question.. I found another set of wheels I actually liked better.. they're staggered
Front: 20x8.5 +30
Rear: 20x9.5 +38

The specs for my car say (not staggered)
20x8.5 +33 standard
20x9 +44 standard

Just by looking at these numbers do you think I will run into any issues such as the front sticking out further then that back or running.. or does the front even with the back because of the difference in wheel width?

I'm not very knowledgeable in cars in general especially something like this so I'm not sure where else to go lol

Those fronts will fit better the the previous wheels in question.

I can confirm 20x10.5 et35 with 295 won't work on the rear. Thought I did enough research but obviously not. I've got fender rubbing on the sidewall with bumps.

Sitting at a wheel customizing shop right now lmao - they're machining off some material to adjust the offset to about 36. Hope it helps! Really didn't want to roll fenders and chip paint. Negative camber is ridiculous on 295s so not doing that.

Absolute newb here...

Dont want to hijack your post. Just created my account a few minutes ago and was going to buy some 20' Ferrada Fr2 wheels for my 2011 535i

continental all season tires 255/35R20
20/8.5 and 20/9.5
5x 120
Slight concave
Comes with TPMS

Will these fit correctly?
And will i have any issues down the road with putting a wheel/tire combo like this on?
Will it throw off any of the computers or wear the components faster?

Thanks for any help!

Why would you like to run square tires on staggered wheels?

For me? If so, it's cause I don't really know what im doing when it comes to which combination of wheel size to tire is correct.

The good thing with square wheels and tires is that you can rotate front to rear and get more even wear.

With staggered wheels you can fit wider rear tires, either for increased traction or if you like the look.

Make this decision first, square or staggered wheels. Then we can help you recommend tire sizes for the wheels you like to run.

I've never seen a square setup on staggered wheels before? I think the rears would have a stretch to it

20" Wheel fitment question

I realize there are a lot of posts out there, but I'm trying to just find the answer to which wheels to buy without pouring through several posts.

I am looking at either 20x9 Front and 20x10 or 20x10.5 rear wheels. The offsets are all over the place and I want a flush fit without any rubbing issues.

Here are 3 of my options:

Set 1
20x9 (et30)
20x10.5 (et40)

Set 2
20x8.5 (et 30 or 40)
20x10 (et 40)

Set 3
20x8.5 (et 35)
20x10 (et 40)

I was planning on going with 245/40 front tires and 285/30 rear tires.

Feedback and pics would be greatly appreciated!

To give you some input the following setup's will be fairly flush on a non lowered F10.

F: 8.5x20" ET25, 245/35-20
R: 10x20" ET40, 285/30-20

F: 9x20" ET30, 255/35-20
R: 10.5x20" ET45, 295/30-20

If the car is lower than OEM suspension, the offset can also be slightly lower due to the camber effect.
