Countdown to the Rolex 24 at Daytona
The countdown to the Rolex 24 is in full swing. The 50-th anniversary of the historic endurance race has seen unprecedented interest so far. One Hot Lap reveal exactly what goes into preparing a Rolex 24 race car straight from one of the most competitive teams in the race: Turner Motorsport.

Can't wait. This is always the kick off to my motorsports year.
Looking forward to seeing the APR R8 LMS and Risi 458 italia in the GT class. Also the new Corvette bodied Prototype. Should be a good race. |

Same here! I'll be watching most of the race live. There's so much at stake for most of these teams and this event is so big, it could make or break their year depending on how they do. It will be awesome to watch!

I will be curious to see how the Audi R8 entry fares, but I will cheering for Turner!

It's on Speed through out the weekend.
I'll be there with about 15 friends, a motorhome and all the beer and moonshine we can stomach. Oh, and it's my bachelor party too T-minus 25 hours until i leave, can't come soon enough. |

Here's some inside scoop heard on Patrick Dempsey's # 71 Aston Martin radio today. Dempsey surprised the team with an unexpected pit-in after a tap in the rear and a spin. The quick driver change put Chris Porritt in the driver's seat with little warning. He goes out for practice laps and the team manager continuously tries to hail the new driver over the radio without success.
"Chris! Chris! 1 2 3..." After the second lap under yellow, I hear a young British voice: "Radio check... Radio check..." Team Manager responds: "Chris, can you hear me?". Chris goes "Yes, apparently the radio went 'in the wrong hole', as she would say....", LMAO! We took some pix of the Turner girls (gulp!) and check out the really cool night shot with the ferris wheel in the background. http://www.onehotlap.com/2012/01/rol...fidential.html
