Briliant! How hard of a job was this? My original cowl is in okay condition but the curved catch, on the passenger side, was so faded that I ended up painting it black with some Duplicolor.

It's actually very easy, and the part not terribly expensive for what it is. I followed this Youtube video.

Basically, mark and remove the wiper arms, remove some underhood trim, remove a few screws, turn some fasteners, and the old one just lifts out. Install is reverse.

Bit the bullet and installed mud flaps.
I'm still on the fence as to whether I love them or hate them but they're not as obrusive as I thought they would be. If they minimize the spray pattern that occurs instantly when I drive on a wet road then I'll be a happy camper.

They look great, I did the same on mine and I'm very happy with how they look and function!

I'm also a fan of mudguards.

As far as updates, installed a Arkym style front lip. Fitment isn't great, but it works.

Also installed some smoked front reflectors.

And, yes. I definitely need a paint correction done.

Added some brake scoops from the 997 Porsche GT3 cars. Our cars already have brake ducts that work synergistically with the dust shield (there's a scoop in the dust shield that catches the air from the duct and directs it to the center vanes of the rotor), so I'm not sure if they'll actually do anything. They're heavily modified to fit on the F10, and haven't actually verified they'll survive high speeds, but so far they fit. For 4.79 a pop, they're not exactly expensive to replace if they do break. Will do a more thorough install and results thread once I have some data (only installed driver side for now for some A-Bish testing).

Put in new coolant temperature sensor for E34. Let's see if temperature gauge stops acting up.

Agreed, it's a good DIY job. Easier than on an E90 which has some extra, weird gasket pieces.

I LOVED this, and was inspired to get one. Pricey bits, but it is what it is. I changed over to a gravity charging mount, so add another $20 onto the cost. But my spouse LOVES it, so I've got that going for me!

(Ignore the cord, I'm working on that...)

Here's with a 2' cable plugged in at the cup holder. The outlet underneath the glovebox doesn't work, so not a good option. I'd like to hard-wire it in somewhere, but doubt I'll build up the enthusiasm for that anytime soon!

Not a hard job. I would say 1.5-2hr of work if you do it in your driveway or garage. Make sure you get some diff fluid because it will leak. It’s best to just go ahead and change the fluid since you are at it.
