TPMS Very Accurate
Just thought I'd share some findings with the group. I have calibrated instruments that make it possible to measure tire pressure accurately to a tenth of a PSI. The TPMS sensors on my 2012 F10 are within .2 PSI on the front and exactly correct on the rears. The fronts are equally reading two tenths high right and left. If anyone knows a way to calibrate please share. Also since switching to nitrogen my tire pressures need adjustment about twice a year where it was almost every month with air.

Doing pure nitrogen doesn't really offer any benefits to your tire PSI when it's cooler. You're still going to have to add some nitrogen or air when the temperature drops. There's only about a 20% difference between regular air, which is already composed by 78% nitrogen.
Are you measuring your tires before you drive the car? Only real benefit to using pure nitrogen is that the tires won't heat up as quickly when driving. That and it'll delay dry rot by a bit. If you're within 0.2 on each tire, you're fine. Adjusting it so you have a difference of 0.0 won't noticeably change your gas costs per year (probably less than $10-20, but is it worth the headache to get it that exact each time?). |

If you have to ask you probably drive a Silverado.
