I'm going to be the heretic here... I find the stock ROF Michelin Primacy 3's better than the Pilot Super Sport's. The PSS's always felt a bit loose, for lack of a better word. The car felt loose, like the suspension was failing. Turn in is sharper and the ride is noticeably smoother. I can't see ever going back to non-ROF's.

You are quite literally the only person on the BMW forum I have ever heard say he preferred RFTs over non-RFTs. If they feel better to you, that's what's important, I guess.

I'm on my second set of PS4Ss and love them. In fact, I almost think they're too good for anything less than an M5, as I can't break them loose even with 400 lbft of torque! I use them year round in England, even in snow. I had a set of Pilot Alpins on my car last year and hated them, even during winter. I'll take my PS4Ss over anything else, regardless of the weather. They're amazing tires.

Bringing back an old thread:

I just switched from continental run flats to Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 and the comfort is night and day. I daily my car so performance while maintaining comfort is important. So far would reccomend the change.

Can't really compare a worn out tire to a new one. Please report back around 10K miles. One thing that interests me is noise level.

Agreed, but they werent too worn. They had 15k miles on them. I did not like the way they felt from the day they were put on.

In my experience with the run flats, they were loud and bumpy. AZ has pretty well maintained roads that are flat. My limited experience with the new tires has been positive, but definitely agree more miles are needed to formulate a full opinion. Noise is considerably reduced.

Will be curious how many miles you get off those. I got 9k on the rear although 90% city driving, I was like wtf

Just bought those today.

When I went from my Goodyear Runflats to my current Micheln all seasons, the all seasons were better but the profile of the tire looks terrible vs the run flats.

I dont have an issue with the profile of these. Looks similar to me.

Now that i have put a few hundred miles on these, i still really like them. Ride is much better, grip seems decent, but road noise can be heard. They are drastically qyieter than run flats, but i think i may try another tire next and see if i can find something even quieter.
